Menus

Most of spock's functionality may also be controlled via the menu bar. Spock's menus also have a ``Tear-Off'' feature, which is a dashed line at the top of the menu. Releasing the mouse button on this line will ``tear'' the menu off, and create a permanent pop-up panel of the menu's options, which can be repositioned via the window manager. In this way each menu can become a mini-control panel, which is easily dismissed when no longer needed.
